The Gathering Place is one of many life-giving churches in South
Central Pennsylvania and exists to build a local church family
that cooperates with other local church families in the region,
the state and the nation. We are accountable to and a member of the Every Nation family of churches for the combined and focused purpose of world evangelism, church planting and campus ministries.
The Gathering Place name was birthed out of the word of the Lord
from Isaiah 43:1-7 given to former Senior Pastor Darrell Fields in
1997. This promise given to Pastor Darrell is profoundly and
increasingly meaningful as The Gathering Place works to complete
the assignment of bridging gaps in our culture to introduce men,
women and children to the good news message of unlimited life
available to all who will choose.
The Gathering Place desires to be Spirit-birthed and led. We believe
in the God-given potential every member has to live an abundant
life serving the Lord completely in family, community and the
world. We desire our church, from the smallest of children
through our elders, to have a world size view of life. We desire
our church to be known for it's passion for God and compassion
for people. Above all this, life at The Gathering Place will be
fun and full of adventure for all! |
