Why We Worship The Way We Do

At The Gathering Place

Worship

Dear Worshiper:

We invite you to join us in our worship. We believe worship is an expression of the heart and mind about who God is. But it is even more than that. It’s also an act of faith. As we worship we declare a reality that is above every other reality. During our worship, we override any obstacle or circumstance we face to get a hold of God’s truth. We are shaped by our worship as we confess Him who is truth. We believe worship is a powerful tool the Lord gives us to transform us, heal us and set us free.

That’s why we will be tenacious about worship. We lift our hands not only in acknowledgement of the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives but as a declaration of truth. It is an "Amen" to what we sing. It is a "Yes" to the "whole truth and nothing but the truth."

We shout because He has made us triumphant.

We dance because He has filled our hearts with joy.

We clap because He is worthy of all our praise.

We applaud His glory, His honor, His power and His majesty. He is the King Eternal!

We sing a new song to Him because of His faithfulness and because mere words cannot fully describe the overflow of our love for him. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
